Have you heard about the Kids Bowl Free program? If you are looking for some fun exercise INSIDE, out of the Georgia heat, then you don’t want to miss signing your kiddos up! It’s also great on those rainy days, the “I’m Bored Days” and the “You’re driving Mama crazy” days!
Every participating center has different “rules” for the program. Georgia has 13 centers that participate. The closest one to most of the Eagles Families would be Stars & Strikes in Dacula and that’s the one my family participated in last year. Gainesville, Stone Mountain, and Cumming also have participating alleys.
It’s FREE – but, you still have to own or pay for your rental shoes (usually about $2.50 a pair – each visit. My suggestion? If you are going to visit 12 or more times then visit Ebay and snag a shoe deal!) Also, be aware that the allure of the video games with all the sparkly, shinny lights will cost some money unless you go into the center with some ground rules for your family in place! (Don’t say I didn’t warn ya!)
The program started April 15th at Stars and Strikes Dacula and runs until August 31. During that time each registered kid (15 and under) can bowl 2 free games a day. The weekday hours are between 10am-5pm. Family passes are also available for $24.95 that allow up to 4 adults to bowl with the registered kids. It’s a one time payment and can be used all summer.
